State Selections

Please pick up your state packet from Ms. Rzepecki!

Exciting news! We had 7 Superior ratings at Districts!

Calder & Sexton, Duet Musical, Honorable Mention

Henry & Leppert, Duet Musical

Victoria Sexton, Solo Musical

Rachel Wilson, Solo Musical

Cassandra Schwartz, Solo Musical

Blaznik & Co., Large Group Musical, Critic’s Choice!

Henry & Co., Small Group Musical, Critic’s Choice and DISTRICT SHOWCASE CHOICE!

We are allowed to take 5 events to State in Tampa. However, no student is allowed to participate in more than 3 events total. (That eliminates one of Victoria Sexton’s pieces…sorry solo musical!) So that leaves 6 Superior’s to choose from. OR DOES IT?!?!

“Each district was to select one Individual Event to be showcased at the Florida State Thespian Festival. These events will be adjudicated at this time and will NOT be performed again in another time slot. THIS DOES NOT COUNT AS ONE OF YOUR FIVE PERFORMANCE SLOTS.”

So buh-bye Small Group Musical. That leaves 5 Superiors! My job was easy this year! CONGRATULATIONS TO THE FOLLOWING who will perform at the Florida State Thespian Conference:

Calder & Sexton, Duet Musical

Henry & Leppert, Duet Musical

Rachel Wilson, Solo Musical

Cassandra Schwartz, Solo Musical

Blaznik & Co., Large Group Musical

Henry & Co., Small Group Musical

*This year, due to budgetary concerns, unless you are in one of the events competing, you will be able to attend, however; you will be responsible for 100% of the cost of registration and hotel. ALSO, those that ARE selected to go to State and perform will be required to participate in a MINIMUM of 4 fundraising events (i.e., Christmas parade, 24 Hour Play, Flower pen sales, IMPROV Shows (in Jan. you won’t have to perform, but I need ticket sellers, concessions, etc.) etc. or you TOO will be responsible for 100% of costs to attend.
